🚨New Feature Alert! Introducing Automated Purchase Orders from Procurify
We’re excited to announce the release of our new automated purchase order feature!Â
Launching June 7, 2021, Procurify customers can now automatically generate a purchase order in the Procurify Platform as soon as a Request for Order (RFO) is approved.Â
Here’s what you need to know.
What’s auto PO all about?
Designed to save you time and reduce duplicate data entry, automated purchase orders in the Procurify Platform gives purchasers and requesters the ability to automatically generate a purchase order the moment an RFO is approved.Â
For this to happen, the new feature pulls information from the original purchase request and replicates it in the purchase order. This eliminates the need to manually add order items to a purchase order and generate a PO number. Â
How will it benefit me?
Duplicate data entry and manual processes have long been a pain point for many procurement professionals. Instead, you can set up automated purchase orders and save yourself time entering the same information twice. With this new feature, you can rest assured that the moment your spend request is approved, your Procurify domain will automatically generate a purchase order, meaning you don’t have to lift a finger to initiate a purchase.
This is ideal for busy procurement teams using the Procurify Platform, or to quickly get a purchase order number to the requester after approval.
There’s a benefit for financial controllers, too. No longer do you have to chase or remind team members to create or fill in missing details on purchase orders – this is automatically completed and logged with the original request.
What about vendor management?
Upon final approval of an RFO containing an order item from a new vendor, the auto PO feature will generate a vendor in the Vendor Management module of your Procurify domain. Any other vendor details, including payment terms, vendor ID, and contact information, will need to be added after the vendor is created by an individual who has access to the Procure module.Â
